Choice Hotels revealed in February a multi-year agreement with Wells Fargo and Mastercard to launch a new cobranded credit card program. The new collaboration makes Wells Fargo the official issuer and Mastercard the exclusive payments network of credit cards for the Choice Privileges loyalty program.

Now the two new credit cards are live. The no-fee Choice Privileges Mastercard has a 60,000 points bonus and the Choice Privileges Select Mastercard has an offer for 90,000 bonus points and fee is waived the first year. Check out the details below.

About Choice Privileges

Choice Privileges is the rewards program for Choice Hotels. Here are some important things that you need to know about this program, if you are not familiar with it:

• The program has four status tiers. You become a Member once you sign-up for a free membership. And then, there are three Choice Privileges elite status tiers: Gold, Platinum and Diamond. 
• You can earn points through hotel stays, credit card spending, purchases with partners, or you can transfer from other programs such as American Express Membership Rewards (1:1), Capital One Miles (1:1), or Citi ThankYou Rewards (1:2). You also get 500 points for referring friends.
• The best use of Choice points is obviously for hotel stays. There's no set value and no award chart, but you can generally get a value of about 0.7 cents per points and possibly as high as 1 cent. Normally a Choice Privileges reward night will cost between 6,000 - 35,000 points. You need to check each property to see rates.
• Choice Privileges gives you a short window for booking reward nights. You can only book a stay on points 100 days before your planned arrival.
